SQUARESPACE WEBSITE DESIGN + TEMPLATES FOR COMMUNITY-ROOTED BUSINESSES & ORGANIZATIONS

Websites that feel as welcoming as the businesses behind them.

Whether you're running a restaurant, local service business, nonprofit, or vacation rental, your website should reflect the care you put into your work every day.

First impressions happen long before someone reaches out.

For many people, your website is their first real interaction with your business. Before they book, call, visit, donate, or reach out, they're using it to decide if they've found the right place.

A well-designed website makes that decision easier. It gives people the information they're looking for, helps them understand what makes your business different, and creates a clear path to whatever comes next.

Hi, I'm Nikki.

I'm a Squarespace website designer, lifelong marketer, community volunteer, and someone who's endlessly curious about what makes a business memorable.

Before designing websites, I spent more than 20 years helping businesses understand their customers, strengthen community connections, and grow through thoughtful marketing, research, design, and strategy.

Today, I bring all of that experience together at Lit Path Co., a Squarespace website design studio based in Mound, Minnesota. I work with community-rooted and experience-focused businesses and organizations in Minnesota and across the country to turn what makes them special into websites that are clear, useful, and distinctly theirs.

Why Squarespace?

I build exclusively on Squarespace because it's secure, flexible, easy to manage, and designed to grow with your business. After eight years designing on the platform, I know how to make the most of what it offers while creating a website you'll feel confident managing long after launch.

One focused week. One website built around your business.

My foundational website design service for businesses and organizations that want a strategic, professionally designed website without a long, drawn out process.

You bring your business, goals, audience, and content. I bring the strategy, structure, design, and Squarespace expertise. With one client on my schedule at a time, your website gets my full attention for five focused days.

It's an efficient process, not a rushed one, built around a proven framework and customized for your business from start to launch.

The Guided Path

Custom Squarespace Websites

More strategy, more complexity, more room to build.

For established businesses and organizations that need more than the scope of a 5 Day Website, custom website design allows for a larger site, expanded strategy, more complex functionality, multiple stakeholders, and a more collaborative design process.

We'll create the structure, experience, and design from the ground up around your business, audience, goals, and long term needs.

Your website should feel like your business.

A neighborhood restaurant doesn't work like a nonprofit. A vacation rental doesn't have the same customer journey as a contractor. And a local service business has different goals than a community organization.

That's why I don't begin with how your website should look. I begin by understanding your business, the people you serve, what they're looking for, and what you want them to do next.

From there, I organize the content, structure, design, and details around the experience you want to create.

The result is a website that doesn't just look like your business. It feels like it, works for it, and helps the right people find their way to you.

Built to last. Easy to manage.

When your website is complete, I don't leave you guessing how to use it.

Every website template and website design project includes video walkthroughs, access to helpful Squarespace resources, and the guidance you need to confidently make everyday updates after launch.

And when you'd rather not do it yourself, I'm still here.

From website updates and new pages to added features and future growth, ongoing support is available whenever you need an extra hand.

Helpful Resources for Better Websites

Whether you're planning a new website, improving the one you already have, or trying to make more of Squarespace, the Lit Path Co. blog is full of practical website, marketing, SEO, and small business resources.

What types of businesses do you design websites for?

I primarily work with community-rooted and experience-focused businesses and organizations, including restaurants and food businesses, vacation rentals and hospitality businesses, trades and home services, local professional and service businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations. But those aren't hard-and-fast categories. If what you're building doesn't fit neatly into one of them, I'd still love to hear about it.

Do I have to be located in Minnesota to work with you?

Not at all. Lit Path Co. is based in Mound, Minnesota, near Lake Minnetonka and the Twin Cities, but I work with businesses and organizations throughout the United States. The website design process is collaborative and can be completed remotely.

Will I be able to update my Squarespace website myself?

Yes. That's one of the reasons I specialize in Squarespace. I want you to feel comfortable making everyday updates to your website without needing to call a developer every time something changes. Website design projects include personalized guidance and resources, and I'm available for ongoing support when you'd rather have someone handle an update for you.
